WORKSHOPS

Laura Marie believes in the importance of promoting literacy with children. Recently Laura was asked to speak with children from a local elementary school about the publishing and illustration process.
After a positive response from the teaching staff, children and their parents, Laura decided to create a program designed just for school children grades 2nd and up.

WORKSHOP DETAILS

This workshop was designed by Laura Marie to help motivate and educate children not only on the importance of developing reading and writing skills but also to gain an understanding of the publishing and illustration field.

1. Laura discusses the process of writing, researching, publishing, illustration and promoting books from the initial idea for a story until the book reaches bookstore shelves.

2.The workshop includes a question & answer session, author resources, photographs, edited manuscripts, writer tools and information on ways a child can start to create their own works of art.
